With no social media outrage or system outages to bog it down in a while, United Airlines seems to be having a positive moment. As Skift Aviation Business Editor Brian Sumers detailed in our story, United seems to be getting new respect on Wall Street because of upbeat revenue trends and efforts to build capacity in key markets.
Investment analysts were never overly focused on the ups and downs of United's brand reputation, but were concerned about overzealous capacity growth, and how United measured up against Delta and American. Financial pundits now seem convinced that United is on the right track and has the flexibility to adapt to adverse market conditions. In today's aviation market, though, a viral moment might be only a video away.
