The founding folks who wrote the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment, which granted the citizenry the right to bear arms, penned the provision more than 225 years ago as a way to ensure that the government couldn't run roughshod over the rights of the people. They didn't envision mentally impaired teenagers purchasing assault rifles meant for the military, and mowing down peaceful high school students attempting to master their geometry lessons.

The National Rifle Association opposes virtually any concession regarding the absolute right of citizens to possess lethal weapons. Such radical organizations as Delta Air Lines, United and Enterprise have broken ranks with the association. We have an interview today with the CEO of HotelPlanner, which provides travel discounts to National Rifle Association members and refuses to end the relationship. Isn't enough now enough? Or perhaps the company should ignore the issue and its small role in it, pending the next carnage.
