RV Travel Newsletter. Issue 839
Dear Subscriber,

A brand new issue of the RVtravel.com newsletter is hot off the cyber press. As usual, we have a ton of great information for you including the latest news, an essay by our editor, tech tips from RV experts, and much more.

In the issue. . .

Editor's corner:
Heading back on the road. Plus see a pic of the RV equivalent of Siamese Twins. (Huh? You'll need to read my essay to figure out what that means.) And a story of a man who brought light to my campground - light that nobody wanted (except maybe him).

Plus: Why I am not a boondocker.

Cover story:
Avoid an RV electrical blowout with a smart surge protector
A basic surge protector usually costs less than $100 and offers protection from nearby lightning strikes and voltage spikes on the incoming power line. However, it can't protect your RV from an over-voltage condition that occurs if you happen to connect your 30-amp shore power plug into a pedestal outlet that's miswired with 240 volts instead of 120 volts. When that happens (as it does) it can destroy much of your RV's expensive electrical system in seconds. Read more. . .
