Dreamtime 2017 delivers

Hosted in Brisbane from 3 to 6 December, Tourism Australia’s signature incentive showcase saw 95 qualified international business events planners and 19 international and domestic business events media discover first-hand why there’s nothing like Australia for business events. Dreamtime has generated over 150 business leads to date for Australia with media coverage reaching over 200 million people worldwide.

The Dreamtime 2017 post-event survey has also indicated high approvals of the event by both international attendees and the Australian industry.  100 per cent of international buyers who attended intend to send more travellers to Australia as a result of Dreamtime, and 99 per cent of Australian industry who attended the program were satisfied with both the Dreamtime program and quality of buyers. Dundee inspired US campaign off to a strong start

Tourism Australia's Dundee inspired campaign  launched to over 100 milion viewers during the Super Bowl this week, breaking records and securing huge publicity for Australia. On the morning after the game the campaign films had already scored over 58 million views, and have now been watched more than 75 million times. Press coverage has been extensive with more than 7,700 articles generating more than $55 million in equivalent advertising value. Importantly, Australia.com has had record numbers of USA visitors and has already delivered over 33,000 leads to Australian tourism businesses - Paul Griffin, Business Events Manager, Americas has already received a number of enquiries from incentive business since the campaign's launch.

Business Events Australia will once again attend AIME, the Asia-Pacific Incentives and Meetings Expo to join with industry in promoting Australia to international business events buyers and media. Visit us on Stand 3840 during the show.

 BEA out and about

Business Events Australia attended several international events in January, to meet with potential customers, network and raise awareness of Australia's business events offering including the International Association of Professional Congress Organisers EDGE educational seminar in Florence, and the  Professional Convention Management Association’s Convening Leaders event in Nashville [pictured].

DM Today award for China

Australia continues to rate highly amongst Chinese incentive planners and media with the latest recognition coming from DM Today. Australia was named Best MICE Destination 2017 at a gala event in Beijing, demonstrating the appeal of our unique destinations, event delivery capabilities, business events products and experiences.
