BALI VOLCANO ALERT DOWNGRADED — Since the news of its increased activity first broke, back in September of last year, Bali's Mount Agung Volcano has left a cloud of doubt in the minds of some travellers as to whether or not it was safe to travel there. Now the cloud has definitively lifted. With formal recognition from authorities that the volcano's temper has subsided, the volcano's alert level has been reduced, as has the exclusion zone; from 6 to 3km. For a play-by-play look at all of our updates on the volcano since the beginning, as well as a convenient way to access up-to-date information regarding it, check out our Agung Update page below. |
