American’s Boeing 777-300ER Reconfiguration Plan Revealed

American hasn't publicly shared details of what the configuration of the 777-300ERs ("77W") would look like once premium economy is added -- what those seats will trade off with.

The first plane to be reconfigured left for Paine Field December 3rd. And American has now dropped a seat map.

Atlanta Airport Power is Back – Avoid Atlanta Airport! – as Delta May Face Fines

Atlanta airport electricity was restored around midnight Sunday night after an outage that lasted 11 hours. After around 1000 flights were cancelled at the airport, many travelers simply stayed even though MARTA was running.

Planes and crew are out of position, not ready to fly. Delta won't even let unaccompanied minors near Atlanta.

Pilot No Shows, Forces Delta to Cancel Last Ever Boeing 747 Flight Departing U.S.

Just last week Delta told investors that their operation was so good only weather could snarl it. I suggested this was hubris along the lines of American's Doug Parker claiming his airline would never lose money again -- and I suggested that the Atlanta-based airline, known for IT meltdowns, had better hope as well that "all of their pilots stay happy" because pilots can bring down any airline.

Today Delta was scheduled to fly its last-ever Boeing 747 departure from the U.S., Detroit to Seoul. And one of the plane's four pilots didn't show so Delta had to cancel the flight.

Atlanta's airport is experiencing a significant power outage. Passengers are trapped on planes, as jetways can't move. People are stuck on escalators, not allowed up or down. And TSA agents are yelling.

American Will Start Cleaning Vents on All Their Planes

On Friday I wrote that flight attendants had shamed American will photos of dirty vents and as a result the airline would start cleaning the vents on Airbus A330 and A320 aircraft.
