Dreamtime 2017 lights up Brisbane

And that’s a wrap! Last week, Dreamtime 2017 showcased Australia’s business event capabilities to 94 international incentive planners and decision makers and 19 business events media.  As Tourism Australia’s signature incentive product showcase, the program demonstrated the depth of Australia’s creativity, capability and innovation in event delivery.  Selected images can be seen here .

Educational Visits for Dreamtime 2017

With the Brisbane program concluded, international Dreamtime 2017 delegates and media travelled on to Adelaide, Cairns, Port Douglas, Hamilton Island, Darwin, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Hunter Valley, Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula to experience Australia’s incentive offering.  The Dreamtime educational program was delivered in partnership with Australian industry and Convention Bureaux.

IBTM World 2017

Tourism Australia once again hosted the Australia stand at IBTM World in Barcelona on 29 November, with seven Australian industry partners in attendance. IBTM World is one of the world’s leading trade shows for the meetings, incentives, conferences and events industry. Survey feedback from Australian industry suggests 100 per cent satisfaction with their attendance at IBTM World.

 BEA out and about

John O'Sullivan, Managing Director Tourism Australia, addressed delegates at the 2017 EEAA Conference in Melbourne on 29 November on ‘Australia’s Business Events Story’. Held over two days the conference covered the trends, challenges and opportunities having the greatest influence on the sector. PAICE 2017 a success

Demonstrating the value of joining Business Events Australia activity offshore, Australian industry who exhibited on the Australia Precinct at PAICE 2017 were positive about the value of attending the event. Eighty-nine per cent of Australian industry attending reported securing business leads at New Zealand’s biggest business events trade exhibition, which took place on 14 November in Auckland.
