Tourism's Election Consequences + Drink Carts Get Smarter + Skift Boosts Asia Coverage

November 5, 2018

Editor's Note

The larger implications of this election promise to overshadow almost everything else on Tuesday, but we still have our eyes on a few ballot questions that will impact tourism and travel, including measures in Missouri and Arkansas to raise minimum wages. It's an issue to which we plan to pay much closer attention, along with other issues of workers' rights and benefits. How companies respond, or not, to these important challenges could very well be one of the most important stories of 2019.

Today we welcome our new Asia Editor Raini Hamdi to Skift as we look to amp up our coverage in this exciting region of the world. She brings an incredibly deep background in travel industry journalism to this role, and we can't wait for you to benefit from her experience and analytical eye. Please read below how she plans to cover Asia for Skift in a big way.
