Kia Ora THE

A priority for Tourism New Zealand is improving the international tourism experience for both visitors and New Zealanders. Data and insights play a huge role in this, both measuring our success and guiding us in better decision making.

We know personal recommendation is the number one reason people choose a destination or attraction to travel to, so we try to meet – or preferably surpass – visitor expectations to drive more recommendations to family and friends.

At the same time, we (that is, the broader New Zealand tourism industry) also have a responsibility to ensure that New Zealanders see and feel the real benefit of tourism within their communities. This is how we maintain manaakitanga – the Kiwi hospitality that we are renowned for – and consequently lift the international visitor experience.

A webinar hosted last week focused on sharing the latest international tourism insights with industry.

We will continue to share this information to ensure that Tourism New Zealand and all our industry stakeholders can make more informed business and investment decisions to ultimately benefit New Zealand and New Zealanders. You can access the latest insights and research on our website.
