Dear Friends,
November ushers in cooler temperatures in many of our northern destinations. With parts China and Japan painted in the vibrant yellows, oranges and reds of autumn as well as cooler temperatures extending into other parts of the region, most consider November to be an ideal time to visit the Asia. In addition to the colours and cooler temperatures, there are also some great holidays taking place during this time. The month kicks off with Indonesia's Galungan Day on November 1 and 2. In it, Balinese people dress up traditionally and visit temples to celebrate the victory of good over evil -it's one of the island's most festive occasions. Japan also embraces a festive occasion involving traditional attire, Culture Day, on November 3 followed by Labor Thanksgiving Day on November 23. Those visiting Laos in the month of November will be in for a treat if their visit coincides with That Luang Festival on November 14, which is considered the country's most significant holiday. Wrapping up Asia's November holidays are Myanmar's National Day on November 13 and Full Moon Day of Tazaungmone on November 14 as well as Cambodia's incredibly fun Water Festival on November 2-4. During these holidays, some of our offices will be closed. We've highlighted all the relevant dates below so you can easily add them to your calendar. Our 24hr customer care numbers -for use in emergencies and for in-country travellers only- are also detailed below in case they are necessary during these times. Best wishes, EXO Travel Team |
