| | | | | | TOURISM AUSTRALIA UPDATE | National Reconciliation Week 2023 has kicked off, and this week is a time to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The theme for this year is Be a Voice for Generations and encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives - where we live, work and socialise. For all of us in tourism, as we promote Australia and Indigenous stories and experiences to the world, we can play a role in keeping the conversation around reconciliation moving forward, whilst also helping to grow demand in the indigenous tourism space. From a Tourism Australia perspective there are lots of activities in the space underway, and many more to come. An upcoming program we have supported is the ground-breaking documentary series The First Inventors. The series premieres on NITV and Network 10, Thursday 15 June at 8.30pm. You can read more about the series here. Finally, last Friday we held our May Industry Webinar. If you missed the update you can view the slides and watch it online here. Our next Industry Webinar will be held on Friday 23 June at 11am AEST, and you can register to attend here.
