The best of the internet, right here, right now
Happy Friday! I'm back from vacation (and feeling more grateful for ice than ever before) and ready to dive back into my phone. After hours scrolling through TikTok, Twitter, and more, here's what I — and perhaps you — missed on the internet lately! ✨ |

Is The Viral Pink Sauce Edible? I used to think the most controversial thing I could dip my fries in was mayo (judge me, IDC!) — until "Pink Sauce" went viral. The dragonfruit-flavored condiment first blew up on TikTok last month and has only grown since then. While some were skeptical, others actually ordered it to give it a taste. But weird smells, ingredient concerns, and faulty packaging had people flooding the internet with bad reviews. It stirred up a whole lot of controversy on TikTok and Twitter, with people arguing against eating unregulated food off the internet. But also...it is pink so I'm kind of tempted, not gonna lie! |

It's Time To ⚠️ BeReal ⚠️ I've mentioned BeReal here before as a new social app that seems to be gaining popularity (and with IG in hot water with its biggest stars, it's timelier than ever) as Instagram-meets-Snapchat. But you might have seen its name on Twitter lately, as a meme format based on the app took over the internet. The app alerts you to take a picture at random moments in the day, so people began imagining what that could look like in a shitty scenario, vacation gone wrong, or a smelly meet-cute. The jokes didn't stop there, though, so don't forget to snap your BeReal while you're laughing. |

Carryin' Your Love (Stuck In My Head) What is TikTok good for (aside from keeping me entertained in the bathroom) if not to get 10-second songs stuck in my head? The latest is a song by artist David Morris that's racked up over 400,000 accompanying videos. They range from wholesome to...not so wholesome and even celebs have used it to throwback to past hairdos and ex-lovers (yikes!). And yes, we're bringing it back full circle to the pink stuff. It's a small internet after all. |

Oh, Go Inject Yourself Twitter was up in arms this week over a California-based injector who posted a video of the facial modifications she would make — were she hired, which she wasn't — to "Stranger Things" star Natalia Dyer. The original video was deleted, but naturally lives forever on the internet. As the replies and quote tweets prove, Dyer fans were *not* happy about the toxic beauty standards the video promoted. The user posted an apology to "clear the air," but Natalia hasn't commented on the situation. |
