Their own domestic campaign ExploreCHC continues to showcase Canterbury and the West Coast, and I can’t wait to see what they've got in store in the coming weeks. While there, I was able to hear from a range of operators about how they have been responding to the challenges COVID-19 has been throwing at them and I was impressed at the innovation and optimism they are showing despite the uncertainty ahead. I was invited to give a presentation to ChristchurchNZ’s Business Partner network, about Tourism New Zealand’s strategy, activity and results. It will be online next week if you want to check it out. It's great to have Auckland join the rest of New Zealand in Alert Level 2 this week and I know this will be welcomed by many businesses and regions around the country. As Tourism New Zealand continues its work to encourage domestic activity we will also work with ATEED to support Auckland as they come out of level 3. We’ll share more information with you on this soon. This week the Tourism Futures Taskforce have invited the public to provide their views on the future of tourism. This is an important opportunity to shape and inform the future of the tourism system and I encourage you to find out more. Tourism New Zealand will be making a submission outlining how we’d like to see tourism enrich New Zealand and the lives of New Zealanders and I know that many of you will be too.
