Last chance for Business Events Boost Program applications

Applications for Tourism Australia’s domestic Business Events Boost Program close in 12 days on 30 September 2020. Australian industry are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible to be considered for financial and marketing support for industry led marketing and distribution projects which promote a restart to domestic events. For full details and to apply online visit the Business Events Australia website.

Opportunities for Industry

Registrations are still open for Australian industry to participate in the hybrid Greater China Showcase from 9 to 12 November 2020. China-ready businesses can register online. For an update on the business events sector in New Zealand and what it means for future business from our neighbours, register to join the New Zealand Market Update on 7 October. Those who missed the recent Signature Experiences of Australia webinars offering a local knowledge boost in preparation for the return of domestic events, can watch the webinars online.

Australia Next goes global

Australia Next goes global

Due to the success of BEA’s self-published incentive inspiration magazine, Australia Next will now be distributed on an ongoing basis in multipe markets across the globe. Upcoming editions for New Zealand and the United Kingdom are being released at the end of September, while editions for South and South East Asia, the USA and another edition for New Zealand are scheduled for November. Industry who may have new or updated product or experiences, which are suitable for an international incentive audience are encouraged to contact us with relevant details to be considered for inclusion in upcoming editions.

China team back to hosting face to face events

Customer engagement in China

The Business Events Australia team in China are back to hosting face to face events with customers in Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Beijing, Chongqing and Guangdong. A BEA Seminar and a Best Partner Program session held this week increased awareness and preference for Australia as a destination amongst agents and corporate customers in China. Eight Australian bureaux joined these sessions both in person and virtually to advocate for Australian industry. Next week, the China team will be joined by Australian bureaux for sales calls and training in Ningbo and Nantong.

 
Keeping Australia top of mind through C&IT Awards

Keeping Australia top of mind in the UK

With Business Events Australia as the headline partner, there will be an Australia presence throughout next week’s virtual C&IT Awards to keep Australia top of mind amongst planners in the United Kingdom. Complete with entertainment from an Australian band broadcast from Port Vincent on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, reminders of Australia will be offered throughout the event. The second edition of Australia Next for a UK audience will also be launched as part of the Awards, with plans to also extend the reach of the publication with trade media placements in C&IT and M&IT.
