Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi announced reduction of tourism and municipality fees

HE Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman, Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi: "The Executive Council's decision to adapt the proposal, put forward by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), to reduce tourism and municipality fees will enhance the Emirate's international tourism competitiveness by strengthening Abu Dhabi's value proposition, and by encouraging investments in the hospitality and tourism sectors. Abu Dhabi's hotel establishments will be further able to record high occupancy rates compared to the regional and global tourism markets. With this decision, hotels and hospitality establishments can achieve more growth and stay in line with the continuous development of the emirate's infrastructure and its wide variety of cultural and leisure attractions.. This is in addition to DCT Abu Dhabi's promotional focus in key markets, adding impetus to these success stories and
raising the occupancy rate in the emirate".

Jumeirah at Saadiyat Island Resort will open
its doors on 11 November 2018

Surrounded by natural beauty, this contemporary beachfront resort occupies a stunning location on Saadiyat Island, overlooking 400 metres of protected sand dunes lapped by turquoise waters. Just 10 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi and 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi International Airport, Saadiyat Island is undergoing a remarkable transformation into a world-class leisure, cultural and residential destination, eventually housing the world's largest single concentration of premier cultural assets. These will include Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum and the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which opened last year to international acclaim.

Jumeirah at Saadiat Island Resort's prime location on the island results in an experience where world class art and culture seamlessly cohabit with mangroves, dolphins and turtles - the original 'guests' of Saadiyat Island. In keeping with its location, the 293 room hotel values sustainable tourism and will be free of plastic straws and single-use plastics bottles.
