| We're now well into Autumn, with the first 2018 off-peak arrivals data released today. The data shows March arrivals were up by 13 per cent in 2018 compared to the same time last year. This is a promising sign of another strong year where off-peak growth outperforms growth in our busy peak season. With 100 percent of Tourism New Zealand's marketing spend dedicated to promoting travel in autumn and spring, these sort of results are welcomed and are very encouraging. Spreading visitation across the year helps to ensure a more sustainable tourism industry, delivering benefits to industry and wider New Zealand across all months of the year. The countdown is now on to TRENZ which is shaping up to be another fantastic industry event. This year I am excited to share with you more about our planned work to support the industry to be "tourism ready" as international tourism numbers continue to grow. This work includes sharing more insights about our international visitors to assist the industry to get the most value out of this growth. More on this in the next issue of Tourism News. | | For now, find out more about our image testing research in China and Japan and how you can use these insights to attract visitors from these important markets.
