What’s New in Denmark

LEGO House, Copenhill, The Crane Hotel, and more: What to do in your next trip to Denmark

What To Do on Your Next Trip to Denmark
It's been quite an exciting time in Denmark. Even for locals, there's a lot of new and upcoming things to do. So for visitors, there's never been a better time to visit. The much-anticipated LEGO® House opens in September. Then there's the social media sensation, Camp Adventure, with their vortex-shaped viewing platform above the trees. And later this year, Copenhill will bring skiing to central Copenhagen thanks to clever Danish ingenuity. And speaking of the Copenhagen, a new iconic hotel, The Crane, joins the harbor skyline in Nordhavn.

Explore a Huge Building Made of LEGO Bricks
OK, it's not actually made of LEGO® bricks, but it sure looks like it and is filled with enough activities to keep the whole family entertained. New this September, LEGO House offers red, blue, and green-themed zones, nine play terraces, three restaurants, a Masterpiece Gallery, LEGO history and much more.

Climb Above the Treetops at Camp Adventure
Southern Zealand will soon be home to an exciting new outdoor attraction: Camp Adventure. The new park will feature elevated walkways through the forest that culminate in a breathtaking circular viewing platform. We can't wait to see it next summer!

Ski in Downtown Copenhagen
Leave it to Danish architect Bjarke Ingels to realize this ingenious new secondary use for a waste-to-energy plant: A ski slope! Known locally as Copenhill, this man-made slope will not only allow locals and visitors to enjoy skiing without leaving Copenhagen, it will help the country in its continued sustainability and green initiatives. Slated to open later this year, it's sure to be a hit!

Stay in a Crane
There are micro-hotels, boat hotels, even yurt hotels, but have you ever heard of a crane hotel? Copenhagen's Nordhavn harbor neighborhood is welcoming what could possibly be the world's first one-room design hotel built inside an old coal crane. The Krane, as the hotel is known, offers a complimentary car, bicycles, and even features a spa.
