Sometimes, your big breakthrough isn't just about what you create, but where you share it. Seriously, switching or adding a new platform to your mix can be a total game-changer. I've seen it happen, and it's pretty inspiring.
Take Adrian Bliss. He was doing sketch comedy on YouTube and getting some traction, but when he jumped over to TikTok with that super unique green-screen comedy 4th wall style, he pretty much invented? He just exploded in a whole new way.
Or think about Brooke Saward – she was huge as WorldofWanderlust, a real pioneer travel influencer on Instagram. She tried YouTube (and flopped) but it was when she leaned into her baking passion, started BrookiBakehouse (now Brooki), and hit TikTok hard that she went mega-viral again, pretty much redefining herself as THE Gen Z baking content creator.
And it's not just about going from long-form to short-form. Bobbi Althoff made a name for herself as a mommy TikToker, but then she launched her podcast and it just took off, giving her a whole new level of recognition. And you've got giants like Logan Paul, who went from Vine (remember Vine?!) to YouTube domination, and then again into podcasting, finding massive new audiences each time.
These folks were often already doing well, but by making a strategic platform pivot, they tapped into something even bigger.
It's a huge reminder for all of us: don't be afraid to test the waters on different platforms. Your next big wave could be waiting on a digital shore you haven't even explored yet!
My last newsletter in this series is coming up tomorrow, so stay tuned!
