2023 HUMAN RIGHTS CONFERENCE

The recent 2023 Human Rights Conference brought together more than 1,800 delegates from 57 countries to attend the three-day conference, which formed part of Sydney WorldPride 2023. The conference, held at the ICC Sydney in March, proved to be an outstanding success and also provided an impressive showcase of the unique way Australia hosts global conferences. It was the first time WorldPride has been held in the Southern Hemisphere, enabling in-person attendance by delegates from throughout the Asia Pacific region, many of whom were first-time attendees.

Importantly, the conference produced positive outcomes that will continue beyond the event itself, creating a lasting legacy and showcasing the potential of business events to impact the host destination. Supported by the Business Events Australia Bid Fund Program and led by the Australian WorldPride Committee, the hosting of these events was a collaborative effort between many organisations.
