Tourism Australia Update

Following the launch of the Come and Say G’Day campaign, activities continue to rollout. From paid media to commercial partnerships to PR activations and to Australian industry using the creative – all campaign elements have a role to play in driving international tourism demand back to Australia.

A great example of our message being magnified was last Wednesday, when our global ambassador Rose Byrne, who voices Ruby the souvenir kangaroo in the campaign, made a guest appearance on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to chat about the campaign. This clip has already been watched over 2 million times on the Tonight show’s Facebook page alone. You can watch the segment here.

Last week we also held our Industry Webinar and provided an in-depth update on the new ‘Come and Say G’day’ campaign, so if you missed the live stream we have uploaded a recording here. As part of that we shared a video of some industry leaders talking about the campaign, click here to see their reactions.

Finally, registration to attend our Destination Australia Conference 2023 opened this week. Find out more and register below.

Take a dive and ‘Come and Say G’Day’

Tourism Australia is encouraging French travellers in Paris to ‘dive’ into Australia with a brand new mega-banner outside the Australian Embassy in Paris. With winter coming in Europe, it is the perfect time to take a leap and experience all that Australia has to offer. The sight of the beautiful Bronte pool in New South Wales is sure to refresh, invigorate and inspire a well-deserved Aussie holiday. The banner is highly visible with around 19,000 people passing the site each day. This new banner is a way to share a glimpse of the Aussie lifestyle and enthusiasm with Parisians, as an invitation to come and visit Australia.
