| | | | | | TOURISM AUSTRALIA UPDATE | After reconnecting with our North American industry partners at Australia Marketplace North America 2022 last week, over the weekend the Tourism Australia US team and I met with our luxury travel partners at Virtuoso Travel Week. The event kicked off on Saturday with around 500 travel advisors in attendance, and through our partnership opportunities and meetings Tourism Australia reaffirmed our strong commitment to the US market. We were able to showcase the many new and varied luxury experiences we have to offer this high yielding sector (who stay longer and spend more), and we also highlighted that the Aussie Specialist Program is now offering our Luxury, Indigenous and Sustainability modules. What we are hearing from our North American partners, there is a strong appetite and demand for Australia, and we are confident we have what it takes to drive quality visitation back to Australia. It was so good to meet face to face and it was the perfect chance to say to the US market we are open, we missed them, we can’t wait to see them Down Under, and to Come and Say G’day!
