Transatlantic Business Class Under $650 One Way

Business class fares originating in Europe to the US are often cheaper than fares which originate in the U.S. I occasionally see $1000 roundtrip fares originating in Europe. Last year there was even a $400 one-way Europe-US fare on Star Alliance member TAP Air Portugal.

TAP is back with amazing fares across the Pond. When there are cheap fares Europe - US, you ought to consider redeeming miles to get to Europe and buying tickets back.

Man in Underwear Jumps onto Wing, Bangs On Windows of Delta Jet

A man wearing only underwear — that means he was running on a hot tarmac with bare feet — scaled a fence and ran towards a Delta flight on from Miami that had just landed in Atlanta on Tuesday.

He "jumped on the wing and began to pound on the windows." Naturally there's video.

First-Ever: Credit Card Earns 1 Elite Qualifying Mile Per Dollar Spent

Barclays just re-launched the Frontier Airlines World Mastercard and it's one of the most creative new products I've seen in a long time. Frontier is an ultra low cost carrier, but for cardmembers it doesn't have to be. In fact if Frontier had onboard internet this card is good enough to make me consider the airline.

No, It Wasn’t Terrorism. JetBlue Flight at JFK Lost Communications With the Tower

There was a real buzz tonight at New York JFK. A JetBlue flight, 1623 to Los Angeles, went silent. Media picked this up, and there was little to no information about what was happening. Speculation abounded, fearing the worst.

American’s CEO Says His Airline’s New Miniature Lavatory Is Just Fine (He Still Hasn’t Flown the Product)

Prior to the plane going into service, and before American began retrofitting its fleet with this new interior, the airline's CEO Doug Parker hadn't even tried the product. And it told me that domestic passenger experience isn't central to the product the airline believes it is offering.

He now at least says he's seen the lavatory, though he still hasn't flown on a plane that has it. He also doesn't seem to know that his airline has an ongoing effort to reconfigure its existing domestic fleet with more seats and smaller planes, in fact he denies it outright.

American Express Platinum Adding $100 Annual Saks Credit

The Platinum Card by American Express has a $550 annual fee. Before we get to the benefits, there are several things I consider to be 'offsets' or dollar value credits that help me to mentally pay for the fee.

And they're adding another benefit: $100 each year at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Right now there's great Air France award space for four or more passengers New York - Paris in both directions in February and March. Pretty much every day. And that's not all.
