Influencers, Abcde, a huge cow and more. The www newsletter is here in your inbox again
Hello Everyone! This is the newest edition of What's Going On On the World Wide Web newsletter. Sorry we have been MIA here for the past many many months but we are back and hope to get you some of the most talked about things on the internet.
PS. I'm Samir and I run an Instagram and Twitter account called @kalesalad, perhaps you follow it?
I am pretty new to this newsletter world so please feel free to reply and let me know what you love or don't love about the newsletters, in addition to sending me your ideas and cool internet things to be included in future editions!
ALSO, I was thinking I'll break things out in some categories, including favorite memes, hot memes, interesting news, cool accounts to follow, and showcasing some of the cool things they all make and more. What other types of things would you like to see? Let me know!
So without further ADEW hereeee we go. - We love influencers, right? Well Payless trolled a bunch of people by creating a fake luxury boutique called "Palessi" (sound familiar?) and charged them between $200-$600 for shoes that they normally charge between $20-$40. A+ troll.
- A 5-year-old girl named "Abcde" was mocked by Southwest Airlines before boarding, which the company has since apologized for. (That's pronounced "Ab-City" btw)
- As my old man George McFly used to say, "If you put your mind to it you can accomplish anything," which is exactly what happened when this woman tweeted a fake photoshop about meeting Michael B Jordan last week and then actually met him on on Thursday.
- As my old man George McFly used to say, "You think you know cows but you've never seen how big this cow is," and you know, he was right this is a huge freaking cow and everyone was talking about.
If you never saw Ryan Shocket eat fruit for the first time EVER back in March you need to catch up because this week he ate vegetables for the first time ever and it was as glorious as the first time. Watch Ryan here. I don't remember this but it seems like a lot of you all do! Be sure to retweet that ^^ here. Finally, I'll leave you all with this This comic by Nathan Pyle is one of the saddest things I've ever seen. Be sure to follow him for more amazing comics and things on Instagram here. That's it, that's my first newsletter! How did I do? Do you know someone who would love this newsletter? Tell them to sign up here! BuzzFeed, Inc. 111 E. 18th St. New York, NY 10003 |
