Australia’s winery experiences come to life in New Zealand

Top New Zealand business event planners had the opportunity to discover Australia’s creative business events delivery and immerse themselves in a bespoke Australian winery experience in Auckland on 28 June 2017. Hosted by Tourism Australia's Business Events Australia team in partnership with Ultimate Winery Experiences Australia, 60 guests were taken on a journey through five of Australia’s leading wineries, showcasing the unique experiences available for the incentive market.

Registrations closing: IMEX America 2017

IMEX America is one of the world’s biggest business events trade shows, attracting international planners and decision makers from around the world. Registrations to join the Australia stand will close on Friday 7 July 2017. Download the IMEX America 2017 event prospectus for more information.

Final call: Advance Program 17/18

Australian industry are reminded that applications for Tourism Australia’s Advance Program close at 5pm AEST Friday, 7 July 2017. The Advance Program offers marketing partnerships between Tourism Australia and the Australian business events industry via a submissions and assessment process.

Melbourne on show for European PCOs

Tourism Australia partnered with the Melbourne Convention Bureau to host five European professional conference organisers and a specialist association-focussed journalist on an educational visit to Melbourne in June. The visit showcased the diversity of Melbourne’s infrastructure, facilities and experiences available to association clients.

Australia Perfect for China

Three thousand delegates from Perfect China, a direct-selling company specialising in health food and skincare products enjoyed a 5-day incentive to Melbourne, Adelaide and Cairns in June. Tourism Australia assisted Australian industry to secure the incentive and to host media on the trip, generating coverage for Australia in the China market.

Glen Davis joins the team

Glen Davis, Tourism Australia's new Business Events Specialist for the Americas, has started his Los Angeles-based role, focusing predominantly on the incentive sector. Glen joins the team from Tourism Australia’s Corporate Affairs, Government and Industry unit, where he was responsible for connecting industry to Tourism Australia’s tools, resources and insights on key international markets. Prior to that Glen worked in Tourism Australia’s London office looking after events and partnerships.

Dreamtime 2017 - Australian Industry

Dreamtime is Tourism Australia’s signature incentive showcase, designed to increase awareness of and interest in Australia as a business events destination. Dreamtime 2017 will be held in Brisbane, from 3 to 6 December 2017 and is an outstanding opportunity to connect with qualified business events buyers from 10 international markets. Information for Australian industry wishing to attend Dreamtime 2017, including the program and cost is available online. Registrations will be opening soon.
