| I'm looking forward to meeting many of you as I get out and about this month. My first stop is TRENZ next week. I've heard some great things about it and I'm really looking forward to attending. Well done to Tourism Industry Aotearoa (TIA) for pulling such a huge event together. Following TRENZ I will be heading south to Christchurch for the first leg of our nationwide industry Roadshow to talk in more detail about our four year strategy and hear how you think we can work more closely together to realise our shared vision for a prosperous future. I hope you are able to attend one of the sessions, please see below for more information about when and where these will take place. A recent highlight for me was seeing New Zealand on the cover of China's National Geographic Traveler magazine. Over 500,000 people read the magazine so it's fantastic exposure for us to one of our biggest markets. Find out more about the 16-page spread on New Zealand in the story below. Last week it was great to see that the general mood of the nation is positive towards the tourism sector. Almost all New Zealanders agree that international tourism is good for the country, an opinion we will work hard to maintain as we deliver our new strategy. I encourage you to read more about the results below. | | I hope to meet you at TRENZ or our Roadshow over the coming weeks. | Stephen England-Hall Chief Executive, Tourism New Zealand | | | | | | |
