The Royal Caribbean sales executive discussed several methods agents can use to grow their client base and retain those clients, starting with the "R equation."
"We are not taking away the consumer's ability to click around," the association's CEO said. "The travel agent's message has to be, 'Get out and see everything online, and then come talk to me, or while you're doing it, let's do it together.'"
The Vacation website will house content designed to capture consumer interest, and present those consumers with a travel agent who can fulfill their travel needs.
What started out as something of an accident became an innovative concept: a luxury travel agency next door to an art gallery, both serving the same clientele and presenting opportunities for cross marketing.
