Prime Minister Perry Christie said that Baha Mar will propel the Bahamas to the forefront of Caribbean tourism, in remarks Friday during the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the highly anticipated mega-resort.
The show won a Tony award for best musical in 2006, and Norwegian Cruise Line CEO Andy Stuart said it will be the only Broadway musical on a cruise ship to have done so.
A modern InterContinental is close to the walled Old City in an area that has battled perception problems to see major growth in tourism during the last decade, thanks to its beauty, history and welcoming people.
