Click here 12 August 2021 Kia ora, The New Zealand Government has released a four-step plan to enable a smart and safe reopening of our border in 2022. You can read more about the plan here. The first step in the plan is to accelerate New Zealand’s vaccination rollout, so every eligible New Zealander has the opportunity to be vaccinated as soon as possible. As soon as it’s safe to do so, New Zealand will move to new individual risk based border settings that will establish low, medium and high risk pathways into the country. The new border system would assess people’s individual risk. Testing requirements will be in place across each of the three pathways, and a traveller health declaration which includes vaccination certification, will be an important factor in determining the travellers’ risk entry pathway on arrival. Tourism New Zealand will carefully consider the information against our activity and any action we might need to take. We'll also continue our work in partnership with the sector, airports, airlines, offshore partners, and other government agencies to enable New Zealand’s safe reconnection to the world when the time is right. We will continue to focus on supporting the tourism industry and promoting domestic tourism, while building extraordinary value in our brand offshore so high-quality visitors keep dreaming of New Zealand. As always - if you have any questions, feedback, or want to get in touch, please contact us. Ngā mihi, René de Monchy Chief Executive, Tourism New Zealand Related links
