AUSTRALIA NEXT - MARCH 2023 EDITION
The latest edition of Australia Next, an inspirational magazine tailored for incentive business events planners, launched in March. The magazine, which forms part of Tourism Australia’s business events marketing strategy to inspire and drive awareness of Australia’s business event offerings, is shared directly to customers and promoted across a trade media program in South-South East Asia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and North America. In this edition, business event planners will discover a three-day program pitch for Adelaide and surrounds, hear from a local on the best places to go in the Margaret River, and uncover the latest venues, experiences and accommodation options. Frankie Mahoney from Ninety Nine Reason said, “This latest edition is fabulous…lots of wonderful experiences to pitch!”. IN-MARKET ACTIVITY

In March, Tourism Australia’s business events team engaged with international business events planners in key markets to gather insights and promote why there’s nothing like Australia for business events. Tourism Australia held a Customer Advisory Panel in New Zealand and North America to collect critical insights into the current state of the markets to help inform its business events strategies.

Last week, Tourism Australia attended IT&CM China, a leading international MICE event in market. During the three-day event, Tourism Australia held appointments with international buyers, generating ten business leads for Australia. With the recent return to two-way quarantine free travel in China, the event provided a valuable opportunity to drive awareness and consideration for Australia as a business events destination.

In India last week, Tourism Australia partnered with Singapore Airlines & MakeMyTrip Pvt Ltd for its Business Events Australia Best Partner Program. Held in Mumbai, the event provided corporates with a taste of Australia’s diverse destinations and unique business events offering.
