As part of the national bushfire recovery effort, Tourism Australia has today kicked off a new domestic campaign, Holiday Here This Year.

1. Commit to the Holiday Here This Year message
Download the custom toolkit. It’s got everything you need to know about the campaign and how to integrate Holiday Here This Year into your marketing.

2. Spread the word
Let everyone know you’re open for business by posting on social media with #HolidayHereThisYear.

3. Show Australians your little bit of Australia
Join the Facebook event and engage with the posts by commenting and sharing photos and information about your business.

Working with industry
AN INDUSTRY MESSAGE
Tourism Australia has collated a video message from industry to Australians, encouraging them to holiday in their own backyard. The video supports the campaign and provides an immediate call to action, reminding domestic consumers that small businesses and communities across Australia are the heart of the Holiday Here This Year campaign.
Social initiatives supporting bushfire affected communities
SOCIAL INITIATIVES
Many community-led initiatives have emerged on social media in response to the bushfires. The Holiday Here This Year message is designed to complement these initiatives and provide a unified platform for industry and consumers alike to support Australian tourism. Tourism Australia has updated the bushfire information map and table with additional locations, and it is now available in nine languages.

The Federal Government has announced a suite of measures to support impacted small businesses. Tourism Australia has also created a number of resources to provide information about the bushfires and guidance on how to support the recovery.
