Cuba travel taking a hit, but tour operators see opportunity

With the Trump administration no longer allowing individual people-to-people travel, tour operators say the policy change is an opportunity to promote their value to U.S. citizens who want to visit the island.

The Trump administration's anticipated tightening of travel restrictions isn't expected to be an impediment, parent company Carnival Corp. said.

Trump calls Obama's Cuba policy 'terrible and misguided'

In announcing the end of individual travel to Cuba, the president said, "Easing restrictions on travel and trade does not help the people, it only enriches the Cuban regime."
