A Japanese airport employee was filmed actually cleaning luggage before passengers picked up their bags. Each and every bag gets checked for scuffs or marks on arrival and taking a white cloth to those bags which needed it.
This morning Barclays launched the Arrival Premier® World Elite Mastercard®. It's a fast-earning card and points transfer to airline frequent flyer miles. That puts Barclays into the transferable points game alongside American Express, Chase, and Citibank which is huge.
This is a $150 annual fee card. There is no signup bonus. But what's unique about it is the earning.
American West was the first airline to do tray table advertising (in December 2003), a practice that moved over to US Airways on some aircraft. US Airways even experimented with ads on first class tray tables.
