| Dear friends & valued partners, We would like to update you on Nha Trang and Hoi An, in the central region of Vietnam which was deluged by Typhoon Damrey last Saturday. Additionally, we will be in touch with anyone whose clients have been affected to inform changes in plans over the coming days. Hoi An Since this morning, the Ancient Town has been accessible and safe. Flood waters have subsided with only a 100-metre stretch on Bach Dang street, between the Japanese Bridge and the main market that is still flooded. Work is in progress to remove the remaining flood waters and clean up the streets. Affected Hotels Anantara - Closed until Monday 13th November - For cleaning reasons La Siesta - Open but swimming pool still under cleaning and available again on Monday 13th November MGallery - Closed until further notice (no precise date given as of today, should reopen next week but not confirmed yet) Little Hoi An Central Boutique - Closed for cleaning until 11th November Hoi An Silk Marina - Closed for cleaning until tomorrow 10th November Hoi An Rivertown - Open but front swimming pool is still under cleaning and available again on Monday 13th November (One swimming pool at the back is already open) We are strongly encouraging our guests not to venture on foot into flooded areas as the combination of floating objects and strong current could be dangerous. Additionally, the water is not clean, which might increase the risks of infection for anyone with open wounds. Most of the boats in operation are being used to relocate both locals and guests to higher ground. |
