| | "Off the beaten track" was the focus for our 'Aotearoa on the Road' trade training in the UK and Europe. It was great to be alongside our European team during this really busy period leading into the key September selling season. Our London-based team took the trade roadshow to six cities; Newcastle, Birmingham and London in the UK and then to Zurich, Munich and Frankfurt. We reached more than 400 agents with frontline training, providing valuable information about what New Zealand has to offer beyond the well-established tourism destinations. Read more below. While here in Europe I also attended PURE Marrakech, one of the world's headline luxury trade shows where TNZ joined luxury lodge and tourism operators who collectively had more than 300 meetings with luxury tourism buyers. A similar event is happening in Sydney this week where TNZ has a strong presence at Luxperience. Capturing greater value from the lucrative premium sector is an important component of Tourism New Zealand's strategy to grow the number of high-value visitors to New Zealand.
