EXO Travel Update : Bali's Mount Agung

EXO TRAVEL UPDATE ON BALI'S AGUNG VOLCANO

Dear valued partners,

We'd like to make you aware that the alert level of Mount Agung in East Bali has been raised by the Center for Volcanology of Geological Hazard Mitigation to Level III. This means an eruption of Mount Agung could be possible. Activities within a radius of 6 km from the top crater of Mount Agung or at elevations above 950 meters above sea level along with sectoral extensions to the North, Southeast and South-Southwest as far as 7.5 km are prohibited.

Excursions to Besakih Temple, rafting at Telaga Waja River, trekking in Kastala and other activities on the slopes of Mount Agung or within the mentioned zone have been halted until further notice and will be replaced with excursions further west.

The vast majority of tourist destinations in Bali are a safe distance away from the crater. We will be in touch with guests staying or having activities near Mount Agung to inform them of alterations to their trip. Accordingly, we will keep you informed of any changes. Additionally, we will continue monitoring the situation and keep you informed of any developments. Should flight schedules be delayed due to ash clouds, we will also keep you informed.

For any questions regarding your clients on site please contact our your usual EXO Travel contact.
