Tourism Cares, CHTA launch Caribbean recovery fund

The goal of the fund is to speed the recovery and return of tourism to St. Martin/St. Maarten, Barbuda, St. Barts, the U.S. and British Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos and other islands where Hurricane Irma did damage.

Irma lashed Anguilla resorts, CuisinArt hit hard

"It is with great sadness that we advise our guests and friends that CuisinArt and The Reef were significantly affected by Hurricane Irma," the resort stated.

Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean are delivering supplies to St. Maarten and St. Thomas. Plus, Royal Caribbean is transporting stranded tourists in St. Maarten to Puerto Rico.

Irma heavily damages resorts in St. Barts, Virgin Islands

The hurricane destroyed Necker Island, damaged Eden Rock Hotel and caused St. Thomas' Sugar Bay Resort enough damage to close it for the rest of the year.
