The Best Photos of 2018

See the best images of Denmark in 2018 and get ready to take your own in 2019.

Which season do you think is Denmark's prettiest?
We have to admit, Denmark is a pretty good looking place regardless of what the weather throws at us. And throughout 2018, visitors to Denmark and locals really brought out the best in Denmark's diverse landscapes, cool cities and famous attractions, through their lenses. We've picked some of the most popular images shared with us this last year, to get you in the mood for a visit in 2019!

Aarhus on top!

For the first time ever, Aarhus was our most popular social image! Aarhus local @adam_brosboel snapped this pretty little picture at Møllestien; a cute, easy-to-get-to street, should you fancy your own.

Guess the landmark!

Yes, you got it. It's Nyhavn! 2018 was a year of stunning images of Denmark from above and we've loved seeing our beloved landmarks from new angles.

Land of everyday wonder

Denmark's hidden gems were shared far and wide around the world last year. Like Little Tilde here, one of the forgotten giants, created by Thomas Dambo and scattered around the countryside near Copenhagen. (Photo: @mr_babdellahn)

Get off the beaten track

Some of our most popular photos last year really brought the peace and tranquility of Denmark's natural sights into focus.
Like this one, captured by @dennispiilgard at the royal deer park near the Danish Riviera.

Isn't it great how everyone experiences places differently?
One iconic place around the country that really captured the imagination in 2018 was Løkken, a particularly photogenic spot on Denmark's beautiful West Coast. This revitalizing destination featured multiple times in our top images of the year. Though we never saw the same view twice! (Photos: left: @_jonasnordberg, right: @bokehm0n).
